Individual Donors
When making your personal gift to the SAE Foundation you may direct your gift to programs or endowment. The SAE Foundation supports the A World In Motion® program and the Collegiate Design Series. Annual gifts are important to the ongoing success of the SAE Foundation and these programs.
You may also choose to establish an endowed fund which serves the mobility industry. Endowed funds at the SAE Foundation should serve to positively impact the mobility industry and may be established for awards, scholarships or programs. Endowed funds are invested for long-term growth with the intent to fund an award, scholarship or program in perpetuity. To create an endowed fund through your personal gift please contact the SAE Foundation at 724-772-8593. Our staff will be pleased to assist you in developing a plan that serves both your philanthropic goals and the mission of the SAE Foundation.
Ways to Give
Membership Renewal
SAE International members can make a gift to the SAE Foundation when they renew their membership. All membership forms have an option for giving to the foundation. If you call us to renew, ask the SAE representative about making a gift to the foundation.
Check or Credit Card
A donor may choose to make cash gifts by check or credit card. Checks should be made payable to the SAE Foundation. Please mail your gift to:

Securities and Personal Property
You may bypass capital gain taxes and take a tax deduction for the current value by making a donation of appreciated securities to the SAE Foundation. We work closely with Citigroup/Smith Barney to make sure your transfer is as easy as possible. Please contact the Foundation at (724) 772-8593 before transferring securities.
The SAE Foundation may be able to accept you gift of personal property, including antique vehicles. Please contact the foundation office for more details at 724-772-8593.

Arnold and Stephanie Siegel
"Take a little, leave a little and we'll all have some." This was the hand-blocked request carved into the pantry door of a cabin Arne and Steffi Siegel stumbled upon out hiking one day as a young couple. That brief message on the pantry door reminding fellow ranchers of their part in the community struck a chord with Arne and Steffi and became the cornerstone of their personal approach towards philanthropy. As donors to the SAE Foundation and other foundations, Arne and Steffi are living their philosophy and what it means to be part of a larger community.
