The Power of Collaboration

STEM education has the power to energize students and strengthen communities—bringing together children, families, educators, and organizations to provide crucial learning experiences and scholarships for the students who need them most. As we reflect on 2023, the impact of STEM education has hit new milestones.

2023 marked the inaugural year of our partnership with ServeWyoming and AmeriCorps focusing on serving students, teachers, families, and communities to increase access to life-changing, hands-on STEM learning experiences.

Your generous support made it possible to empower local communities.  We hope you will be inspired by our Year in Review.

Driving Community Impact

In local communities around the country, we are transforming the lives of young learners by providing early access to hands-on STEM education. Our donors and community partners are playing an essential role, working with educators to help students build brighter futures. Here is one example.

Detroit, Michigan

14,000 K-2 students in Detroit Public Schools Community District now have access to hands-on STEM education. Thanks to the alliance between corporate donors Bosch, Cummins Inc., Ford Motor Company, General Motors and American Honda Motor Company, Inc., nearly 100 teachers received training for AWIM® STEM curriculum including Rolling Things, Making Music, and Engineering Inspired by Nature.

Classroom programming was also combined with mentorship from experienced industry volunteers to make a real and lasting impact on the community.

I am so excited for DPSCD’s collaboration with SAE this year, bringing A World In Motion® engineering design experiences to over 450 K-2 classrooms. Integrating engineering design into K-2 classrooms can spark curiosity and creativity from a young age. It’s wonderful to see collaborations like this that enrich educational experiences for students. We are so grateful for the partners who make such initiatives possible and for the bright futures they’re helping to cultivate.
