EdTech Awards Recognizes SAE PreK-8 AWIM STEM Programs

SAE STEM@HOME™ was selected winner of the 2021 EdTech Cool Tool Award for “Best Parent/Student Solution” with SAE’s A World In Motion® (AWIM) PreK-8 STEM education program named a finalist for “Best Skills (21^st Century Skills) Solution.”

Featuring STEM-inspired storybooks, Meet the Engineer videos, and immersive STEM learning modules and experiments, SAE STEM@Home was developed during the COVID-19 pandemic to give young learners access to free STEM resources wherever and whenever learning happens. Each STEM@Home module was designed to complement one of SAE’s existing AWIM STEM challenges and can be used as an extension for traditional AWIM or assigned to students who are learning from home.

Benchmarked to national standards, SAE’s A World In Motion (AWIM) program is an inquiry-based learning experience that brings STEM concepts to life, setting students on a path of lifelong learning and discovery. Starting with the youngest learners, from preschool through 8th grade, AWIM combines practical, experiential learning with mentorship from industry volunteers and ongoing training and support for educators to provide equitable access to STEM.
